Yay for Ollie!
So guess who took his first steps tonight? I'll give you some hints: he's super cute & sweet, he's 9 months old, looks just like his daddy & loves to say "momomom." Give up?

He did! And he did it several times! The first time, he was walking around holding Bob's hands & Bob let go. He stood there for about 15 seconds & then took three or four steps! Later, he let go of the coffee table & walked to me! I'm excited for my big boy. He also is starting to discover a crawl/walk where he uses his feet & hands to move. I think 9 months might be his month. I'll get some video of him walking tomorrow. I need Bob here so one can tape & one can "spot."

Super Fun!!
This weekend was so much fun. Our friends from Des Moines, Angie & Mark were in the area for their nephew's graduation. We haven't seem them in at least three years.

We spent Saturday afternoon hanging out with them and their family in Fayetteville. Mark's brother has an in ground pool; Ollie got his first swimming experience. He loved it!

Then, Saturday evening, Pastor & Vanessa, also know as Paw-Paw & Nana 2, watched ollie. Aunt Mikaela was there to play too! Bob & I went out to a movie & dinner. We haven't been out alone since November! We've gone out a few times with other couples but not just the two of us.

Sunday, after church, we had a going away party for some friends at a Lake. Ollie got his first experience with sand and a lake. He had so much fun! He's such a sweet baby!

Cruising
Ollie doesn't crawl. I keep thinking he's going to but it just hasn't happened. He does, however, pull up and things and he cruises. This video was from about a week ago. I'm just slow. Today, he started moving from one object to another, couch to loveseat, coffee table to chair. It's exciting. i do wish he'd crawl but he seems to love to walk so whatever!

Busy, busy, busy
My weekend was slam packed. On Saturday, I hosted a baby shower for Renee. She is a wonderful friend who after a long road, is pregnant with her second child. She has a four year old boy and is now having a girl. Twelve ladies joined me to help celebrate the upcoming birth of Bella Grace.
Sunday, we had our annual Kids' Celebration service. As the children's director, this is like the Super Bowl to me. It's my opportunity to get the adults excited about our kids. We basically do Kid's Worship is "big" church. We make the adults participate too. So they had to do the actions for the verse, answer questions & build a snack. It was so much fun. Typically, we have a church picnic at the park but it was miserable out so we moved indoors.
We ended our busy weekend with a long family nap. We slept for darn near three hours! Can you believe it? Anyway, I have no pics of the weekend at home so I'll give you what you really want anyway.
